In efforts to help the smaller shops right now, I thought I’d make a list of some of my favorite small businesses you can support. It is such a hard time for everyone but we can choose where our dollars go. If you are not in the position to support with a purchase, there are a few other ways you can show your support such as liking, following, or even reposting on social media. I know once I’m in a more financially stable position and can travel again, I will definitely be showing my support to all these shops.

East Bay Favorites
TOP HATTERS KITCHEN - Oh how I miss this restaurant so much, the space is beautiful, the food is perfect, the people that work there are so welcoming. They are currently offering curbside pick up.
SONS OF LIBERTY - a neighborhood go to, great food, great drinks, they are also currently offering takeout!
THE PUNCHDOWN - hands down my favorite natural wine bar in Oakland, they are currently offering contact less curbside pickup.
TREASURES HOSPICE THRIFT SHOP - one of my favorite local thrift store, this shop is run by an elderly group of ladies who most of them work at the shop as volunteers, a portion of the proceeds made at this store go to help the George Mark Children’s House, which supports terminally ill children and their families. This shop doesn’t have an instagram or website but the store is located in San Leandro, CA. I encourage you to go and support this shop once they are open for business again. PELTON CAFE - A breakfast/brunch staple in a cozy restaurant with the friendliest staff and yummiest egg dishes, more info here.
CAFE SORRISO - A perfect spot for lunch, they also have a beautiful deck you can enjoy your meal on. You can find more info here.
San Francisco Favorites
HORSEFEATHER - dreamy space that you can enjoy with the perfect cocktail, they are currently closed but have a gofundme setup to help their staff during this difficult time, you can find it here.
FISHBOWL BAR - a neighborhood dive bar that has been an SF staple for 15 years now, a go fund me has been made to support the staff during this time. more info here.
FLOUR + WATER - hands down my favorite restaurant in SF, so many fond memories with friends and family at this place. You can find their gofund me to support their staff here.
LITTLE WINDOW - A delicious Vietnamese family run small business by a mother and daughter duo, I’ve been so lucky to eat their delicious food many times and I miss it. Their shop is currently closed but you can support them by buying a gift card online

ROOT GENERAL - The people who own this shop are incredible, they do so much for the Fresno community, so let’s help them out. They are currently selling through their instagram and online!
HAPPY HOUSE - a shop filled with so many beautiful home goods, I can’t wait for it to reopen again, she is currently selling through her instagram and doing local drop offs.
FOUND CO - if you miss thrifting and vintage shopping as much as I do, this local vintage shop is selling via her instagram and offering local drop offs too.
BLACK MARKETPLACE - another amazing local vintage shop where I have found many treasures, you can shop via their instagram.
DAUGHTERS OF SIMONE - a bride to be go to, they are currently offering so many sweet packages to send to brides as well as a 30% off sale on all their gowns.

ZIVELI WINERY - I love Ziveli wine and I love the people that make it! They are currently teaming up with BRICK LOVEN another local favorite and doing a pizza and bottle of wine combo available on the weekends.
ANNEX KITCHEN - A staple in Fresno, the food is incredible, they are currently offering curbside pick up and cocktails to go.
HEIRLOOM EATS - Great lunch spot, great cocktails as well, they are currently offering to go orders.
LOS PANCHOS MEXICAN FOOD - Amazing cocktails and the best tacos, they are currently offering orders to go!
QUAIL STATE FRESNO - Wanna do a whiskey tasting at the comfort of your home? These guys are offering a virtual online tasting! Check them out.

These are just a few of my favorite small businesses. The potential of some of these businesses not surviving this financial hit is real and that’s why it is so important to help them out in any way we can.
